Can I buy a plan through IMAG Connect right now?
No. IMAG Connect is in prelaunch. Today it explains how international connectivity works and collects waitlist interest. Purchasing will only open after an approved provider agreement is in place.
Will I keep my current phone number?
It depends on your setup. A data-only eSIM does not replace your number. To keep receiving calls and texts on your existing number, your original line usually needs to stay active in the phone, which requires a device that supports two lines.
Will I still get bank and verification codes?
Only on the line tied to that number. If you turn your home line off, codes sent to it will not arrive. Plan this before you travel — some accounts are hard to recover from abroad.
Is unlimited data really unlimited?
Usually not. Most plans include a high-speed allowance and then reduce speeds under a fair-use policy. Check the exact amount and what happens afterward.
Can I use hotspot for work?
Sometimes. Many low-cost travel plans restrict or block hotspot. Confirm it in the plan terms before you rely on it.
What does Ask IMAG earn from this?

Glossary
- eSIM
- A SIM card built into your phone. Instead of swapping a plastic card, you install a plan digitally.
- Roaming
- Using your home plan on another country's network. It can be expensive unless your plan includes it.
- Unlocked
- A phone that is not tied to one carrier, so it can accept another carrier's plan.
- Fair use
- A provider limit on how much high-speed data you can use before speeds are reduced, even on plans described as unlimited.
- Hotspot
- Sharing your phone's mobile data with a laptop or another device. Some plans restrict or exclude it.
